How to play Aion 2 right now
You cannot play the global version of Aion 2 yet — it opens on 30 September 2026 for Founder's Pack owners and 5 October for everyone. The only live service today is Korea and Taiwan, which is region-targeted, in Korean and Traditional Chinese, and shares no progress with the global servers.

Is there a separate US or EU release date?
No. The global launch is simultaneous on 5 October 2026 across North America, South America, Europe and Japan, with regional servers. There is no staggered rollout, and no separate 'NA release date' to wait for beyond that.
What about playing the Korean or Taiwanese version now?
- Those services are region-targeted and run on their own accounts and storefronts.
- The client is in Korean and Traditional Chinese. There is no official English option on them.
- Nothing carries over. A character levelled there starts again on 5 October 2026.
- Connecting from outside the covered region can fail at login, and using a VPN to get around a region lock risks the account under NCSOFT's terms of service.
The honest recommendation
If you want to play in English with your regional friends and keep your progress, wait for 30 September. The KR/TW service is worth it only if you specifically want a ten-month head start on learning systems you will then re-learn in English, on a character you cannot bring with you.
