Aion 2 in Korea and Taiwan
Aion 2 launched in Korea and Taiwan on 19 November 2025, on PC *and* mobile, nearly a year before the global release. It is a separate service: characters, purchases and progress do not transfer to the global servers launching 5 October 2026.
What is different about the KR/TW service
| Launched | 19 November 2025 |
|---|---|
| Platforms | PC, iOS and Android with cross-play |
| Languages | Korean and Traditional Chinese |
| Progress transfer to global | No |
| Content lead over global | Roughly 10 months |
Why it matters for global players
- The KR/TW service is ahead on content — the Brawler class, for example, arrived there in July 2026.
- Class balance discussion you find online usually describes a Korean patch, not the build the global service will launch with.
- Class names differ: NCSOFT's English materials say Marksman and Spiritmaster where community translations of the Korean say Ranger and Elementalist.
Can you play the Korean or Taiwanese version now?
Those services are region-targeted and run on their own accounts and storefronts. If you are waiting for the global release, nothing you do on them carries over — a character levelled on the Korean service starts again on 5 October 2026.
