Aion 2 performance, FPS and ping
Aion 2 targets a GTX 1050 Ti and 8 GB RAM at minimum and an RTX 2070 with 16 GB as recommended, with an SSD advised. Ping depends on which regional server you land on — NCSOFT has announced servers in North America, South America, Europe and Japan, so latency for most players will be regional rather than transcontinental.

What drives ping
- Your distance to the regional server. NCSOFT has announced NA, SA, EU and Japan.
- A VPN almost always makes ping worse, because it adds a hop — it is not a latency fix.
- Before 30 September 2026 there are no global servers at all, so any ping you measure is against the Korean or Taiwanese service, half a world away for most players.
Why we are not publishing benchmarks yet
Nobody outside NCSOFT has run the global build. Any FPS figures circulating now are either from the Korean client on Korean hardware or invented. We will publish measured numbers when there is something to measure.
Frequently asked
- What FPS will Aion 2 run at?
- No benchmarks exist for the global build yet. NCSOFT's recommended specification is an RTX 2070 with 16 GB of RAM, which indicates the target for comfortable play at standard settings.
- Why is my ping high in Aion 2?
- Before 30 September 2026 the only live servers are in Korea and Taiwan, so players elsewhere are connecting across the world. Regional servers for North America, South America, Europe and Japan open with the global launch.
- Does a VPN reduce ping in Aion 2?
- Generally no. A VPN adds a network hop and usually increases latency. It can also place you in a region the service refuses, causing login failures.
